Eugent Bushpepa: “If you miss someone, maybe you can find yourself in my song”

During the 10th edition of Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam last weekend, we had the chance to talk with the Albanian representative Eugent Bushpepa. He will represent his country with his entry “Mall” and will participate in the first semi-final in Lisbon.
After having some troubles with his passport he was able to go to the Netherlands for the biggest pre-Eurovision party. Due to the delay of his visa, he already had to sadly cancel other appearances.
His song “Mall” was originally only planned for his album and not for Eurovision. He had to take some emotions out of the song because “Mall” was too long in the previous version. After all, he is happy with the revamp of his Eurovision entry. His message is still clear. Express your emotions and if you miss someone, maybe you can find yourself in his song.
Talking about the music video for “Mall” Eugent said, that they used the black & white effect to symbolize memories. The second idea was to let the audience only focus on the story of the main characters of the video. They also wanna keep it simple in Lisbon. He will be on stage with his band and two female backing vocalists. Eugent doesn’t want to distract the people with a big show, but to let everyone connect to the song.

I hope, that someone will catch the emotion of the song and votes for Albania.
