🇲🇩 Natalia Gordienko releases new music video ‘High Heels’

Natalia returns with the follow up single to ‘Sugar’

Another week is behind us and it is time to enjoy the latest New Music Friday releases. This week Moldova’s Eurovision 2021 star Natalia Gordienko swaps a sugar high for her ‘High Heels’, with her brand new single and music video.

High Heels

Usually people want to kick off their high heels and relax. Not Natalia Gordienko it seems! No, in her latest new single those heels are worn with pride. As she marches in them to the Deep house beats of her own drum. Confident and empowered, as she knows herself and what she wants in this emphatic anthem that is the story of Natalia. Feeling like she’s flying on the ease of her love destiny. With the pulsing tempo changes of the symphonic backing making anyone want to yell “WOO!” Once again working with Sharon Vaughn, as well as one of the ‘Dream Team’ elite, Dimitris Kontopoulos, who both co-wrote and produced Natalia’s Eurovision entries, ‘Prison’ and ‘Sugar’. The themes ever evident in a vibrant music video directed by Konstantin Gordienko, showcasing the dark and light of Natalia’s personality and glamour.

Last month Natalia returned to New Wave, the Russian singing competition she won in 2007. This time she was a guest performer and delivered a sneak preview of ‘High Heels’ for her Russian fans.

Natalia Gordienko in the Eurovision Song Contest

Back in 2006 Natalia Gordienko represented Moldova with the tropical summer bop ‘Loca’, alongside Arsenium and Connect-R. After pre-qualifying for the final they finished in 20th place. Last year, Natalia won Moldova’s national selection with the power anthem ‘Prison’ and was set to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam.

However, the EBU had to make the unfortunate decision to cancel the 2020 contest due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore the Moldovan broadcaster TRM decided to stand by their artist and internally select Natalia for the return to Rotterdam in 2021. During the contest Natalia gave Europe and Australia more than just a spoonful of ‘Sugar’ to help the votes go down, as she finished in 13th place with 115 points.
