Eurovision may still be a few months away but preparations are already steadily underway and it has been revealed that Rome-based Atelier Francesca Monitnaro has been entrusted with the important task of designing the Eurovision 2022 stage.

No further details known at the moment

Through their Facebook page, Atelier Francesca Montinaro were excited to announce that they will be desining the stage for the upcoming Eurovision 2022 in Turin saying:

Atelier Francesca Montinaro will create the scenography of the Eurovision Song Contest Torino 2022 stage!

It was a very demanding race in which we participated with enthusiasm and strong emotions. A race against time that kept us awake until the small hours. But it was worth it because in the end, Rai chose us. We receive this assignment with honor and we will work to deliver to the whole of Italy a stage that shows the soul of the Italians to Europe and to the world.

We would like to say a lot, tell more, but we cannot reveal any details. From now on, months of intense but beautiful work begin for us to reach the opening of this third Italian edition of Eurovision.

This marks a change from previous shows, with Florian Wieder having designed the stage of the last four Eurovision editions.

From Sanremo to Eurovision

Atelier Francesca Montinaro are no strangers to producing stages for TV shows, musical competitions and musicians. In fact, they have been involved with popular TV programmes like Piazza Pulita on LA7 and collaborated with internationally renouned artists like Zucchero. Futhermore, they have also designed the stage for the iconic Sanremo music festival on two occasions in 2013 and 2019.
