🇸🇪 Benjamin Ingrosso releases Swedish album ‘En gång i tiden’

After participating in Så mycket bättre, Sweden’s Eurovision 2018 representative Benjamin Ingrosso has now released his new album ‘En gång i tiden’ (Once Upon a Time).

This is the first time that Benjamin has an album in Swedish, and his first album in over two years. Benjamin’s debut album ‘Identification’ was released in 2018 and was certified Gold in Sweden.

About ‘En gång i tiden’

In a long post on Instagram, Benjamin revealed that it was natural for him to write music in Swedish. However, when he started working on music full time and focused on an international career, he wrote his music in English.

The aim is still the same. However, as with the pandemic, some things are currently on hold. This is where he got the chance to participate in Så mycket bättre and this is where he realized he missed signing in Swedish.

Benjamin reveals that this album shows more sides to him as a songwriter, producer and an artist. He even revealed that one of the songs in the album, was something he wrote when he was ten years old.

He rounded things off by saying how happy he is that he is able to pay homage to Swedish pop and promises a year full of music!

A few days after its release, it was revealed that ‘En gång i tiden’ is in the Top 10 Global Album Debuts, based on streams between January 15-17. In addition, the album debuted at number one in the Swedish albums chart.
