Mia Dimšić was chosen to represent Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Guilty Pleasure”. Although she won Dora 2022 with a huge lead to the runner-up, the Croatian delegation is still planning for major changes to the performance in Turin.
Mia Dimšić won Croatia’s national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2022, Dora 2022, after getting over 7000 televotes more than the runner-up Marko Bošnjak. Her song “Guilty Pleasure” was also the favourite of the ten regional juries ahead of Mia Negovetić‘s “Forgive Me (Oprosti)”.
Recently the head of the Croatian delegation, Tomislav Štengl, told the Croatian media that the whole concept for the performance will be changed for the Eurovision stage. The new choreography will follow the message of the song. It was also mentioned that Mia Dimšić won’t be dressed in black for the performance in Turin.
At the semi-final allocation draw for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, Croatia was allocated into the first semi-final, to be held on 10 May. Mia Dimšić is scheduled to perform in the second half of the show. She hopes to bring Croatia to the final for the first time since 2017. Last year Croatia’s Albina became the first artist who failed to qualify to the final despite finishing in top ten with both, the juries and the televote.
