ESCXTRA.com are live for day 5 of rehearsals ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 taking place at the Pala Olimpico in Turin, Italy!
We continue with the second rehearsals for the majority of the artists in the first semi-final! The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Iceland, Norway, Armenia, Finland, Israel, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Malta. Also taking to the stage today for the first time are the big 5 – France, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain and Germany will have their first rehearsal later this afternoon.
The latest artist to rehearse is Konstrakta from Serbia who is performing the song “In Corpore Sano””

Rehearsal review
Stage presentation
The staging is very similar to what we saw at the national final – Pesma za Evroviziju – with similarly dynamic and sharp camerawork. A noticeable change, however, is that certain lyrics are highlighted in text on screen:
- ‘What is the secret of a healthy body?’
- ‘Artist must be healthy’ (sic)
- ‘I am left on my own’
Then, for the climax of the song, with the frenetic lighting and LED effects, the English translations of the lyrics are shown as subtitles. The final note is ‘so what now?’, which I think works to convey the message of the song – health – to casual viewers.
Costumes and styling
As expected, Konstrakta is wearing white overalls with a cream and red corsage pinned to her, while her backing singers are in black robes, with their signature white towels. She is the focus through the performance, and is well framed by the effects.
Vocal quality
As expected, Konstrakta nailed all three runs, even though she had in-ear issues in the first run.
Overall impression
This went big in the press centre, with the whole room clapping along and doing the handography, and so I hope this will land with casual viewers in the same way. The lyrics they do show, I feel, articulate the message to some extent, although I fear it reads as ‘a covid song’.
