Eurovision 2020🇳🇱 Netherlands

🇳🇱 EBU releases further statement about Eurovision 2020

As the preparations for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest continue, many fans have questioned whether or not the event will proceed ahead. Earlier today, the reference group had a meeting to discuss about this year’s contest. Since then, they have released a statement, which you are able to read below:

Current Situation in The Netherlands

As we have previously reported, Health Minister Bruno Bruins has announced that all measures, which were set until 31st March, have been extended to 6th April. This has meant that all gatherings of 100+ people have been forbidden. Whether this will be extended further is still to be confirmed by the local government.

Pre-Parties have been postponed

Due to the sanctions in various governments around Europe, this has led to the postponements of the upcoming Eurovision Pre-Parties. London Eurovision Party, Eurovision in Concert, Pre-Party ES & Israel Calling.

Other Options Available?

If the Eurovision Song Contest is unable to proceed as planned, there is apparently a Plan B which involves the broadcasters. Whether this will come to fruition, we won’t know until we receive further information from the EBU.
