First number-one single for the singer

Tomorrow, on Saturday March 12th, Sweden will choose their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 at the Melodifestivalen 2022 final. On this week’s singles chart in Sweden, Klara Hammarström has risen to the number one spot with her song “Run To The Hills”.

After all the songs for Melodifestivalen 2022 final were released two weeks ago, Klara Hammarström’s entry “Run To The Hills” topped the Spotify Top 50 in Sweden and has stayed there ever since. Now the song is a number-one single in Sweden. On last week’s chart, her song debuted on the third place.

Klara’s song is followed by “Bigger Than The Universe” by Anders Bagge on the second place of the singles chart. Medina with “In i dimman” and Cornelia Jakobs with “Hold Me Closer” have also made it to the top five. All twelve finalists are in the top 35 of Sweden’s singles chart on the week 10. From the eliminated songs, “Tror du att jag bryr mig” by Niello & Lisa Ajax is currently on the 14th place of the chart.

The final of Melodifestivalen 2022 takes place on March 12th from Friends Arena. The winner will be decided by the Swedish public together with the international juries and will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin. Sweden will compete in the second semifinal of the contest on May 12th. Sweden’s representative will perform on the second half of the show.
