🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 S4C confirm that Wales has withdrawn from Junior Eurovision

Wales withdraws after two years.

Tonight (14th July) the broadcaster responsible for the Welsh participation in Junior Eurovision Song Contest has announced they have withdrawn after two years of taking part.

The contest is due to take part in November in Warsaw, Poland after Viki Gabor won with the song “Superhero”. Marking Poland’s second win in a row and subsequently their second hosing in a row.

What was stated?

The broadcaster took to twitter to confirm growing rumours and reports that they have withdrawn.

S4C went on to elaborate on their current position in any future participation.

What was different about the Welsh entries and participation was due to the fact that the broadcaster is a Welsh language broadcaster, their entries and national final presentations were all done in Welsh. A first for the contest.
