Eurovision in Concert have announced another Eurovision 2022 act to perform in Amsterdam on April 9th. Austria’s LUM!X feat. Pia Maria will be bringing “Halo” to AFAS Live.
The 19-year-old DJ LUM!X has gained success with hits such as “The Passenger (LaLaLa)” and “Thunder“. In 2019, he released the song “Monster” with Gabry Ponte, who he also worked on “Halo” with. The song has reached over 219 million streams on Spotify. Overall, LUM!X has over one billion streams, over 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify and multiple platinum and gold certifications.
At the Eurovision Song Contest, LUM!X is will compete together with 18-year-old Pia Maria. Pia Maria is a trained make-up artist at the Tyrolean State Theatre and began writing songs at the age of 15. The singer still has little stage experience, but an extraordinary voice. Their entry “Halo” was released last week with the music video.
Austria will compete in the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin. LUM!X feat. Pia Maria will perform on the second half of the show on May 10th. Last year Austria was represented by Vincent Bueno. He represented the country with “Amen” but failed to qualify to the final. Last time we saw Austria in the final was in 2018, when César Sampson finished third with “Nobody but You”.

In 2019, a total of 28 competing artists performed in The Netherlands’ capital. This year the Eurovision 2021 host Edsilia Rombley and Cornald Maas will host the concert on April 9th. The tickets are still available and can be found here.
Several Dutch artists have been confirmed as supporting acts for the Eurovision 2022 artists. Maggie MacNeal, who represented The Netherlands back in 1974 as part of the duo Mouth & MacNeal and in 1980 as a solo artist with “Amsterdam”, was the first supporting act to be announced. Linda Wagenmakers will also warm up the stage with her 2000 entry “No Goodbyes”. Fans will also be able to enjoy performances by Teach-In’s Getty Kaspers with the winning song of 1975 “Ding-a-Dong” and Marga Bult, who represented The Netherlands in 1987 with the song “Rechtop in de wind”.
