Tonight marks the last #EurovisionAgain of season one – however, it was announced this morning that the nostalgia-filled event will be back for a second season, starting on 18 July. The second season will run until the 2021 national final season, with the possible exception of December. A new contest from the Eurovision archives will be shown on every third Saturday of the month. Austrian singer Cesár Sampson has decided to add another career to his resume: in the upcoming elections for the Vienna City Council, he will be standing as the Green Party candidate. His third place in the 2018 contest has proven that Cesár is capable of collecting votes throughout Europe. Will the “Nobody But You” singer be able to achieve the same results in his hometown Vienna? What is the Green Party? Die Grünen (the official name of the Green Party in Austria) have a track record of winning approximately 10 seat in the city council. The particular subsection of the party that Cesár is a member of represent the “Inner Stadt,” the inner city. Cesár takes up the fourth place as a candidate. If Die Grünen continue to follow this pattern, it would give him a good shot at representing his green vision in the Vienna City Council. Yesterday, Netflix finally released the long-awaited movie “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams. However, the secret star of the film is certainly former Melodifestivalen star Molly Sandén who is the singing voice for McAdams’ character Sigrit Ericksdottir. Junior Eurovision at 14-years-old Sandén joined the Eurovision family at just 14-years-old when she represented her native Sweden at the 2006 Junior Eurovision Song Contest held in the Romanian capital city of Bucharest. Placing third with her entry “Det finaste någon kan få”, Sandén claimed her space in the Swedish music industry. Nevertheless, Sandén has still not managed to take to the stage for Sweden at the adult Eurovision Song Contest. Back in April, Daði Freyr announced a series of live shows scheduled for the end of the year. Once these dates sold out, he added new dates for 2021. Now, in light of the success of “Think About Things”, he has announced a UK tour! Initially, Daði Freyr announced his tour in April, including dates in London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo and Dublin. On the first week, the London and Dublin shows quickly sold out and subsequently additional shows were added for both cities.  Now, as “Think About Things” holds firm in the UK Top 40, he has announced a full UK tour. Tickets for his UK dates, and other European shows, are available now! It has been a long time coming but finally Netflix has just released the original movie “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga”. Starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as fictional Icelandic band “Fire Saga”, it is time to follow their journey from small-town musicians to the world’s biggest musical stage! WATCH “EUROVISION SONG CONTEST: THE STORY OF FIRE SAGA” HERE!(Requires Netflix subscription) An all-star cast! The cast stars a number of big names from the acting and music industries. Swedish broadcaster SVT have aired the first of their Allsång på Skansen shows for 2020, with Sanna Nielsen returning to host the singalong event. The first show features Agnes, The Mamas, Jill Johnson & Robin Stjernberg and Newkid. After all the action of Melodifestivalen at the start of the year, summer brings a series of open-air concerts to Sweden. Very often you will find a variety of Melfest and Eurovision stars taking the stage to perform their songs. The difference this year is that due to the coronavirus situation for the first time there will be no audience to singalong. Instead all the singers will perform for each other and TV viewers will be encouraged to join in at home. Thanks to Sanna Nielsen’s wonderful hosting, the beautiful Stockholm surroundings on show and the talented band & artists on stage the feel good factor remains despite the lack of audience. 🇫🇮 The Eurovision Cruise 2020 to go ahead as planned

Euroviisuklubi OGAE Finland ry has confirmed that the Eurovision Cruise 2020 will go ahead as planned this August. The organizer of the cruise, Euroviisuklubi OGAE Finland ry, informs that they will continuously monitor the situation with COVID-19 and keep everyone informed about possible changes. The eleventh edition of the Eurovision Cruise will sail from Helsinki to Tallinn and back on August 29-30. So far two artists have been confirmed to perform on the cruise. These are Finland’s Eurovision 2018 representative Saara Aalto and UMK 2020 runner-up Erika Vikman. Last year the cruise celebrated its ten-year anniversary with performances by Krista Siegfrids (Finland 2013), Vicky Rosti (Finland 1987), Hera Björk (Iceland 2010), Euroband (Iceland 2008), Selma (Iceland 1999 and 2005) and KEiiNO (Norway 2019).
