Official video of “Spet (Round And Round)” released

Tinkara Kovač won this year’s edition of EMA with her song “Spet (Round And Round)”, and will thus represent Slovenia in Copenhagen. The official videoclip of her Eurovision entry has been filmed after she won the national selection, and is now published. The video clip was shot in the Koper harbour, on the Adriatic coast of Slovenia. Check out her official video clip here:

Tim Schou to host EuroClub in Copenhagen

  It was announced earlier today that Tim Schou will be hosting EuroClub in May. Tim, from A Friend In London who represented the 2014 host country, Denmark, in 2011 is no stranger to being onstage and entertaining a crowd. Except this time it will be on a different stage; Vega in Copenhagen city, this year’s EuroClub venue. We were in contact with Tim today and he had this to say about his new and exciting role in ESC 2014: I CAN NOT WAIT TO SPREAD THE LOVE IN THE CENTER OF COPENHAGEN AT ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC VENUES IN DENMARK. VEGA It will definitely be something to look forward to for those fun Copenhagen nights ahead. In 2011, A Friend In London obtained 5th place for Denmark with “New Tomorrow” in Düsseldorf, Germany. Since then Tim has been very busy with both music; he is currently in Los Angeles at the moment, and theater; where last year he performed a main role in Hair and this summer he will be participating in the stage show of The Little Mermaid. Laura Whitmore new semifinal commentator?

According to Irish newspaper The Herald, Irish television presenter Laura Whitmore will join Scott Mills as commentators for the BBC in the semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. As is traditional lately, Graham Norton will commentate the final. Scott Mills will once again be the male half of the commentating duo for the semifinals. Whitmore would be the third co-commentator for him, after previously working with Sara Cox and Scissor Sisters’ lead singer Ana Matronic.. Whitmore said she’d be going to Copenhagen for Eurovision next month to work for BBC Three in an interview with RTÉ Radio 1: Then I am going to be in Copenhagen and I am doing some bits for BBC Three for the Eurovision so that will be pretty cool. Laura Whitmore is a 28-year old Irish television presenter. She’s hosted shows for MTV Europe in the past and has worked for Irish and British television as well.

RTS to broadcast all three live shows

Duška Vučinić, the head of press at RTS, to an interview today has announced that the Radio Television of Serbia will broadcast all three live shows of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark. Due to financial reasons, we were not able to send a representative in Copenhagen this year, but I strongly believe that Serbia will return next year. Our hope is to continue our tradition of participating in Eurovision, and to return our national selection, Beosong, said Vučinić. Vučinić invited the Serbian diaspora to support Sergej Ćetković (Montenegro) and Tijana Dapčević (FYR Macedonia) as they mostly live and work in Belgrade. RTS withdrew from the 59th Eurovision Song Contest on 22 November 2013. Eurovision Song Contest 2014 will be held from 6-10 May in Copenhagen, Denmark.

25 acts lined up for Eurovision in Concert

A total of twenty-five acts have confirmed their participation in Eurovision in Concert 2014. Besides these twenty-five, the organisation has also confirmed that two special guests will appear in Amsterdam. As we reported a while ago, a week before the event, twenty acts had already confirmed their participation. In the last week, Carl Espen, Cristina Scarlat, The Shin & Mariko, Aarzemnieki and Dilara Kazimova have confirmed they’re also attending the event, which will take place at the Melkweg in Amsterdam tomorrow. The special guests for tomorrow’s show are the 1986 Dutch entrants, girl group Frizzle Sizzle. They will be doing a one-time reunion, especially for Eurovision in Concert 2014. The second special guest is the winner of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, Emmelie de Forest. Rehearsal calendar revealed

The EBU have revealed the calendar of rehearsals for this year’s contest. Contestants for semi one will kick off on 28 April and for the first three days all contestants in the semifinals will go on stage for the first time. 1 May will be a day off (Labour day) and then 2 May will have a full run of the first semifinal and 3 May a full run of the second. The Big 5 +Denmark will take on stage on Sunday 3 May, starting with Germany, followed by the UK, France, Denmark, Italy and Spain. That day will kick off with a press conference with the hosts. Monday 5 May will see the first two dress rehearsals for semifinal 1, and on 6 May we will have the third rehearsal and the live show. The following day the 6 pre+qualified will take on stage again for the morning run, and the first two dress rehearsals for semi 2 will take place in the afternoon/evening. The last Thursday will feature the third and last dress rehearsal for semifinal 2 and the live show. Friday 9 May will have dress rehearsals 1 and 2 for the Grand Final and on Saturday …

Eurovision stage is taking shape

As Eurovision Song Contest 2014 gets closer, DR and B&W Hallerne are having their final preparations before the contest, which will officially kick off by the end of the month. The latest footage taken from inside the arena show the stage taking shape. 3000 lights of which 730 are LED lights and over 1200 square meters LED screen are clear demonstration of an enormous dimentions 46-people crew is working with, reports DR. With no official design published yet, head of delegation members from across Europe, including Christer Bjorkman have reported that the stage this year will be huge, comparable to the 2009 stage in Moscow. Eurovision Song Contest 2014 will premiere on 6 May, with the final being held on Saturday, 10 May.

Last tickets to go on sale Friday

Eurovision.tv has just announced that the last tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 will go on sale this Friday. They will become available at 10.00 CET. Tickets will become available for all nine shows: two semifinals, the Grand Final and all dress rehearsals for those shows, being the jury shows and the family shows. The jury shows take place the night before the actual show, the Family Shows take place on the afternoon of the show. Tickets for the show can be bought on Billetlugen.dk here.
