However, the Portuguese broadcaster, RTP, have now revealed that they have selected a smaller venue to host the contest, the Pavilhão João Rocha! UPDATE – Happy April Fool’s Day! As many of you guessed, yes, this is an April Fool’s Day joke and no, Eurovision 2018 will not take place in the Pavilhão João Rocha. The host venue for this year is still the Altice Arena! HRT release full statement about “Crazy” plagiarism claims

This morning, the Croatian delegation have released a full statement about the plagiarism claims that have been made against their entry “Crazy” by Franka. The words you see below are published in full with no editorial license taken. Branimir Mihaljevic is the composer of “Crazy”. Read the statement in full below Following the speculations about the song “Crazy” and plagiarism allegations, I feel obliged to clarify the situation. The whole song is the product of our work only, and as I have previously mentioned, I’ve worked on the production of the song “Crazy” together with my colleague Denis Mevlja, also known as Denzel Beats or Denz. For the past two days we have been working intensively to find out how this situation emerged and how it all happened. Finally we found out that Denis Mevlja, who makes and sells beats online for a living, uploaded a wrong file on the online store site by mistake, uploading the stems for our Eurovision song “Crazy” under another name, evidently without my approval as a co-writer. It is all made very clear in the photo document presented by Guez which we are sending in the attachment. The song “Crazy” was made exclusively and entirely …

New music video for “Mall” released!

New music video for “Mall” released!

Tired of watching Eugent grab after that microphone high up in the air in his old FIK (this article would be the length of Moby Dick if I wrote out Festivali i Këngës fully each time) preview video for “Mall”? Well, he has just released a brand new music video, featuring 80% less actual band members and 100% more black and white filters.  Ah, feels like just a few days ago you woke up all excited on FIKmas morning, ready to take in every single last interval act it had to offer. You ran downstairs, unplugged the phone, pulled down the curtains and turned the TV on, only to find out you still had 8 long hours to wait. Excitedly you rocked back and forth on your sofa, waiting all day long, only to fall asleep mid-show later that same evening. Good times. Just recently Eugent released the new revamped version, thankfully keeping the essence of the song and the original language, which Albania often likes to change. The new version came with the same old preview video, but that wasn’t really much of a work of art. The new one aims to correct that, featuring slow-motion dancing, serious stares directly …
