Denmark: Leonora reveals staging details

In an interview with Eurovoix, Denmark’s Leonora has revealed some hints about what to expect from her staging in Tel Aviv. The 20-year-old had won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the song “Love is Forever”. The whimsical national final staging featured a giant chair and two extras joining Leonora on stage. Speaking to our friends over at Eurovoix, Leonora has given some teasers about what to expect from her performance of “Love is Forever” on the Eurovision stage. Despite performing at a number of pre-parties this month (Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Moscow), little has been known about what Denmark have been planning. A big question mark has been hovering over whether they will be bringing the big ol’ chair over to Israel. Regarding her staging, Leonora said the following: We are almost doing the same artful performance that supports the message of the song, and I like it a lot! ZENA to have “Modern and Youthful” staging for Eurovision

Belarusian representative ZENA has revealed information regarding her staging for “Like It” at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Israel. This comes just a few days after filming her postcard in Tel Aviv. A Russian affair In contrast to last year’s staging, ZENA will be performing something much more “modern and youthful”. She will be joined by a new team of backing singers and dancers, who are currently undergoing rehearsals in Moscow. Moreover, this will be choreographed by a Russian showbusiness Producer, who has been unnamed for the time being. Preparations are well underway for the Belarusian delegation, whether it’s for their performance or their postcard. Earlier this week, ZENA visited Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to film her postcard. Azerbaijan: Chingiz reveals four backing singers for Tel Aviv performance

Having recently filmed his postcard in Tel Aviv, Chingiz Mustafayev has revealed the four backing singers that will be joining him in Tel Aviv. He will be closing the second semi-final of Eurovision 2019 with “Truth” in the hope of bringing Azerbaijan back to the Grand Final. According to ESCKaz, Chingiz will be joined by four backing singers for his performance in Tel Aviv. Continuing Azerbaijan’s internationally-collaborative approach to Eurovision, the vocal team is all-Nordic. In addition, Alex Panayi is returning as the vocal coach for the Azeri team. Chingiz’ backing singers are as follows: Cedrik HammarPatrick Jean OlssonPernille Leeloo Sara Linnea You may recognise Pernille, who just recently participated in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019 with “That Vibe” under the moniker ‘Leeloo’. Belgium: Eliot performs on The Voice Belgique and hints at Tel Aviv staging

Eliot Vassamillet, Belgium’s representative for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, has spent the last few weeks promoting his entry “Wake Up”. So far, he has performed at pre-parties in both London and Amsterdam, and is soon to perform at Spain’s pre-party in Madrid this evening. Adding to this list, Eliot gave his first televised performance of Wake Up on The Voice Belgique, where he was first discovered by his eventual songwriter. The performance features two drummers and hints at what we can expect from his Tel Aviv staging. Having been internally-selected as Belgium’s representative for Eurovision 2019, fans hadn’t got the chance to see him perform the track live. This have changed over the past weeks, as Eliot has been promoting “Wake Up” in Amsterdam, Madrid and London at their respective pre-parties. But the promo hasn’t stopped there! This week, Eliot returned to the stage of The Voice Belgique to perform the song. He had previously competed in the seventh series of the show last year, which is currently airing its eight series. Michael Rice shows inspirational story in “Bigger Than Us” music video

The United Kingdom’s entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Michael Rice, has revealed the music video for his song “Bigger Than Us”. In the video, we see an inspirational story between two kids and the importance of acceptance. It’s all in the family The storyline features two children. A girl is apparently having her first day at a new school, which is a difficult moment. She however gets along well with a boy sitting next to her in class. They click over the topic ‘space’. When the boy and the girl hang out after school, his parents pull him away. It turns out the girl has two fathers, something his parents cannot accept. The two youngsters however won’t let their newborn friendship get lost so easily. They run away from home together at night to visit the observatory and look at the stars. Eventually their parents find them. They then seem to accept the friendship between the two kids. The boy in the video is no stranger to Michael Rice. Serbia: Nevena Božović Releases Official Video for “Kruna”

Serbia’s Nevena Božović has revealed the official music video for her Eurovision Song Contest 2019 entry, “Kruna”. This comes a week after the announcement of who will be accompanying her on stage in Tel Aviv. She had previously released an acoustic live version and revamped studio version of the song. Previously, the main video for the entry on the official Eurovision YouTube channel was of her winning performance from the Beovizija final. Keeping it consistent, Nevena is rocking the same dress she wore for said performance in the official video. The video features an emotive delivery of the song from Nevena, complete with dynamic camera cuts. Could this be a hint of what we can expect from her staging in Tel Aviv? Prior to the video’s release, she had also released a revamped studio version of her entry, which features more ethnic Serbian elements. Following that, she released an intimate acoustic version of Kruna, showcasing her beautiful vocals. Italy wins Germany’s preview show “Songchecks 2019”

The German broadcaster NDR finished their preview show tonight. The show was aired online in four parts, where ESC experts, guests, and fans discussed each entry for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv. The readers of Eurovision.de had the chance to get involved and rate every song between 1 and 12. The average of each song was 50% of the result. The other 50% came from the two hosts of the show Alina and Stefan. Italy won this preview show followed by the Netherlands and Switzerland. “La Venda” & popcorn? Eurovision 2019 final to be broadcast in cinemas across Spain

Cinesa partners up with the Spanish broadcaster RTVE to bring the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in a total of 41 cinemas across Spain. This is already the third year, that Eurovision fans in Spain will have the chance to watch the final of Eurovision on a big screen. Watch: Sneak peek of Eurovision 2019 postcards

A short sneak peek of the Eurovision 2019 postcards was uploaded today on the official YouTube channel of the contest. This year’s postcards include lots of dancing and Israel’s beautiful landscapes. Eurovision 2019 postcards The artists from the 41 participating countries have travelled to Israel over the past months to film their postcards. This year’s postcards combine presenting the competing artists with promoting the host country. On the sneak peek we can see Spain’s Miki dancing on a football field, Israel’s Kobi Marimi tackling more traditional partner dancing and Finland’s Darude feat. Sebastian Rejman celebrating in front of Tel Aviv’s skyline. The video also includes a part of Israel’s Eurovision 1978 winning entry “A-Ba-Ni-Bi”. What do you think about this year’s postcards?
