XTRA Decides continues this Eurovision 2022 season. In this feature the team here at ESCXTRA rank the national final songs, giving our choice of the winner. “Forgive Me (Oprosti)” is a song that is able to showcase Mia’s dynamic vocal range and the tonality she is able to produce with her voice should be commended. In addition, the mix of Croatian and English in the song is done in a way that isn’t jarring and I commend Mia and her team for their efforts, as transitions between multiple languages throughout songs can sometimes disrupt the flow of a song. Overall, the song gives me empowering female ballad mixed with musical theatre vibes, and when we combine those two themes, they really apply to a broad audience. In my opinion, Croatia definitely has a great opportunity to improve their qualification streak and do well in Turin with Mia.
