The Netherlands: Fource release JESC entry “Love Me” to immediate online success!

On Friday, The Netherlands revealed their entry for the upcoming 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The song is titled Love Me and is performed by boyband Fource. The four-piece band were chosen to represent their country after winning the Dutch national selection Junior Songfestival 2017. A quarter of a million views! Alongside the premiere of their entry, Fource have also unveiled the official music video for their tropical-pop track. The video was produced by Framez Productions and took place in multiple locations around the capital city of Amsterdam. In the space of just a couple of days, the video has received approximately a quarter of a million YouTube views. That is seriously impressive stuff. Have a watch below! The boys are back in town Fource are made up of 13-year-old Ian Kuyper, 14-year-old Jannes Heuvelmans, 14-year-old Max Mies and 12-year-old Niels Schlimback. In Love Me, the boys sing the verses in Dutch with the chorus in English. They will be looking to beat the impressive 8th place finish achieved by girlband Kisses in Valletta last year. Macedonia’s National Broadcaster (MRTV) finally released Mina Blazev’s Junior Eurovision entry titled “Dancing Through Life” and it certainly made us bust a move! The team behind Mina’s “Dancing Through Life” is the same team that worked with Martija and “Love Will Lead Our Way” last year. The composer – Aleksandar Masevski – certainly brings a contemporary, modern and radio friendly vibe to a Junior Eurovision entry. Mina’s Journey The young talent is no stranger to competing in talent shows. Mina started off her music career through participating in the very popular Blakan show – Pinkove Zvezdice. Despite not winning the competition, Mina never failed to amaze the judges with her powerful voice. Mina Blazev – Dancing Through Life Watch Mina dance through life in the official music video for her Junior Eurovision entry “Dancing Through Life“: Will it be lucky 13 for Macedonia? Overall, Macedonia’s best result at the contest came in 2007 and 2008 with Rosica Kulakova & Dimitar Stojmenovski and Bobi Andonov respectively finishing in 5th place. Mere moments ago the Australian Junior Eurovision 2017 song as performed by Isabella Clarke was made public! It’s time to Speak Up! An empowerment anthem The song is another empowerment anthem from the Australian team. Boy, do I love a song that is age appropriate! Here we have another fantastic example of a young woman delivering a message about being strong and being heard and I for one couldn’t be happier! It is clear Australia, as always, is a contender and takes all forms of Eurovision very seriously! Inspirational and appropriate I think my favourite lyric is “[I’ll] tell you, What’s inside me, what defines me”. I don’t know about you, but this kind of lyric inspires me even now. Indeed, I can’t imagine what it would have done for me as a teenager! Regardless it’s much more appropriate than singing about heartbreak or love (concepts I still think most adults can barely get their own heads around!) Check out the video below! Lizi Japaridze & Helen Kalandadze to host Junior Eurovision

Georgia have chosen Lizi Japaridze and Helen Kalandadze to host this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi.  Lizi represented Georgia in Junior Eurovision in 2014, whilst Helen previously participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 as a backing singer. With Lizi, this would be the first time someone under 16 has hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Lizi Japaridze (also known as ‘Lizi Pop’) Lizi Japaridze is 13 years old and was born in Tbilisi. She represented Georgia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Happy Day. Lizi’s video for the song has over ten million views, resulting in the most viewed Junior Eurovision video on the official channel. She speaks fluent Georgian, English, Russian and French so is ideal for hosting a Eurovision event!   Helen Kalandadze Helen Kalandadze participated in the reality TV show ‘Star Academy’ in 2009. She also participated in ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ in 2013, in which she won the competition. It’s Nicole Nicolaou with “I Wanna Be A Star” for Cyprus

Cyprus’s National Broadcaster – CyBC internally selected Nicole Nicolaou as their representative in September and today they surprised us all with the release of their Junior Eurovision entry “I Wanna Be A Star”.  The beautiful island will surely bring a summer party to the big stage in Tbilisi  on the 26th of November. Nicole Nicolaou wants to be a STAR Nicole is born in 2004 and despite being only 13 years old, she’s fluent in multiple languages (Greek, English,Russian and French) and loves drawing. We have no doubt that her artistic personality will translate into a colorful and powerful performance at the Junior Eurovision Stage. F.Y.R. Macedonia: Mina Blažev’s “Dancing Through Life” to be released on Sunday

Macedonian national broadcaster MKRTV has revealed that the song Mina Blažev will perform in Tbilisi will be titled Dancing Through Life! Furthermore, the song will be unveiled at 6.30pm CET on Sunday 8th October. We can’t wait! Another uptempo dance song for Macedonia? For the second year in a row, MKRTV has chosen Aleksandar Masevski to compose their Junior Eurovision entry. Indeed, he composed last year’s fan favourite entry Love Will Lead Our Way, performed by Martija Stanojković. Therefore, we’re sure many Junior Eurovision fans will be looking forward to hearing Dancing Through Life. It sounds like it’s going to be another fun uptempo dance song! Looking for that podium finish Last year, Martija finished in 12th place in Valletta. Remarkably, it was Macedonia’s sixth 12th place finish in their 12 Junior Eurovision appearances! Overall, Macedonia’s best result at the contest came in 2007 and 2008. Portugal: Mariana Venâncio selected to sing “Youtuber” in Tbilisi!

This evening, the Portuguese national selection for the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place. Mariana Venâncio was awarded the honour of representing Portugal in their Junior Eurovision comeback. She will perform the previously announced songYoutuber. Congratulations Mariana! Five young talents battled it out In this evening’s show, Juniores de Portugal, five talented young artists battled it out to win the right to sing Youtuber in Tbilisi. The song has been written by João Cabrita and Mariana Andrade. Furthermore, each act sang a second song of their own choice in order to try and win the votes from both the viewers and the jury. The jury consisted of three Eurovision-connected musicians. These were previous Portuguese Eurovision representatives Carlos Mendes (1968 and 1972) and Inês Santos (1998) as well as this year’s Festival da Canção finalist Pedro Gonçalves. First pictures of the 2017 Junior Eurovision stage have been revealed!

This week, the Junior Eurovision head of delegations have met in Tbilisi ahead of next month’s contest. During this meeting, host broadcaster GPB has been updating the participating broadcasters of their plans. One of the most exciting moments of the meeting was the unveiling of the stage for the contest! Olympic Palace: Are you ready? Over the coming weeks, the stage will be constructed inside Tbilisi’s Olympic Palace which is the host venue for the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Therefore, sixteen talented young acts will live their dreams on this very stage, performing their songs for an audience of millions.
