Eurovision and National Final stars release their version of ‘Over The Moon’

On October 23, Netflix unveiled their latest feature-length edition movie ‘Over The Moon’. As with tradition, films will come with a song to promote the film to audiences. The title track for the movie is sung by Cathy Ang.

However, in order to cater to local markets, Netflix has released 15 different versions of the title track. With this, Netflix has recruited Eurovision and National Final artists to release their version of the track in their respective territories.

Poland – Viki Gabor – “Wznieść się chcę”

First up in the list, is reigning Junior Eurovision champion Viki Gabor, who has released the Polish version of the song. To coincide with the release of the film, Viki has released a music video for her version.

Italy – Elodie – “Volo via”

Next up in the list, is Sanremo 2020 participant Elodie. As with the other artists on this list, she has also worked on local adaptations of animated films, such as Trolls.

Spain – Aitana – “Volaré”

Another national final artist making the list is Aitana, who released the Spanish version of the song. At the time of writing, her music video has already amassed over 1 Million views on Youtube, which was released on the 23rd October.

Sweden – Wiktoria – “I det blå”

Next on the list is no stranger to working on local adaptations on animated films. It is three-time Melodifestivalen participant Wiktoria. Her previous work includes being the voice in the Swedish version of Disney’s Moana.

The Netherlands – Edsilia Rombley – “Raket Naar De Maan”

Rounding up the list is The Netherlands’s Eurovision 1998/2007 representative and the host of the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, Edsilia Rombley. Upon the release of the film, Edsilia seemed to have enjoyed the film and watched it twice. This was not the first time Edsilia has worked with Netflix. Previously, she performed a cover of Husavik from the Eurovision Movie.
