KAN recommends Tel Aviv as host city, EBU “likely to accept”

Yes, this morning, Israel Hayom has reported that following last week’s visit by Jon Ola Sand, Tel Aviv is the city recommended by KAN to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.

EBU likely to accept KAN’s choice

The report indicates that EBU is “likely to accept” KAN’s recommendation. In addition, the contest will take place on either the 14th-18th May or the 21st-25th May. An official announcement is expected later this week.

The venue of choice is expected to be the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds that can hold up to 10,000 spectators in a concert setting. If these reports prove to be accurate, this would mean Jerusalem and the Pais Arena would fall at the final hurdle after Eilat’s “out of the box” plans were eliminated from proceedings last week.
