Online voting is open for “Germany 12 Points”

50% of the results are currently in the making

From today till the day of the national final “Germany 12 Points” on Friday at 20:00 CET radio listeners can vote for their favorite. Those votes will make up 50% of the end result. The other 50% will come from the televoting during the show. The winner of “Germany 12 Points” will represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022!

Who will represent Germany?

This Friday the German national final “Germany 12 Points” will take place in Berlin. Six acts are in the running the represent Germany in Turin. 50% of the results will be made before the actual show. From today till Friday 20:00 CET radio listeners from public radio stations can vote for their favorite song. The other 50% will be decided during the show on Friday from the televoting.

The following spokespersons will reveal the votes from each radio station during the national final:

  • Marcus Asmus and Anneli Rienecker (Antenne Brandenburg)
  • Katja Wunderlich (BAYERN 3)
  • Malte Janssen (Bremen Vier)
  • Tobi Kämmerer (hr3)
  • Sarah von Neuburg and Lars-Christian Karde (MDR Jump)
  • Elke Wiswedel and Jens Mahrhold (NDR 2)
  • Daniel Simarro (SR 1)
  • Constantin Zöller (SWR3)
  • Jan Malte Andresen (WDR 2)

Germany 12 points takes place on March 4th. The winner will be selected through public voting that includes phone calls, text messages and online voting. For the online voting, people will be able to vote via the official websites of the nine ARD radio channels between now and 4th of March – 20:00 CET.

As one of the highest-paying EBU members, Germany automatically qualifies to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. The final of the 2022 contest will take place on May 14th in Turin, Italy.
