Poland to hold national final on February 19th

News is out about the Polish entry for Turin. Poland will select their Eurovision 2022 entry through a national final, according to Polish media. It will be held on February 19th.

The broadcaster TVP is organising a national final. Earlier reports about their selection method had given no clear answer as to whether an internal selection or a national final would be used, and now it seems it will be the latter.

The date selected for the national final, according to TVP’s announcement, is February 19th. The winner will be decided through a combination of jury and public voting.

10 artists will compete in the national final. Accordingly, the Polish entry for Turin will be one of the following, revealed today:

Poland at Eurovision 2021

In 2021, TVP opted to not re-select Alicja, originally selected for 2020, for Eurovision 2021. Instead, Rafał Brzozowski was internally-selected to represent Poland in Rotterdam with “The Ride”. He failed to qualify from the second semi-final. He placed 14th with 35 points, which was Poland’s third consecutive non-qualification.

The winner of this 2022 selection will be looking to return Poland to the Grand Final.
