After the rumours, the confirmation. The german broadcaster has scrapped their National Final process in favour of an internal selection. And, as reported yesterday, it will be Xavier Naidoo to take the stage in Stockholm!

The broadcaster will organise “Unser Song für Xavier”, as the show will be called, a televised selection of the song that Xavier will perform in Sweden. Six songs will be presented on the 18th February on Das Erste. The show will have music experts commenting on the songs, but in the end only televote will decide the next German entry.

The broadcaster has already contacted composers and producers to create the perfect song for the contest – and on December 15th a jury of music experts and Xavier will pick the six entries for the show. The day after that, the songs will be introduced to students of art academies to prepare staging concepts.

Xavier Naidoo is a rather known name from the German pop industry, with a career span of more than 20 years, with 7 studio albums and more than 30 singles published.

Italian in the UK, with a strong preference for Sweden. I support myself tweeting (not even joking) - and that's why Social Media is my kingdom. Drama tends to follow me, hence why I really feel connected to the #skandal and #fiasko hashtags.
