The Scoop🇱🇹 Lithuania

The Roop will not take part in PiN 2022

The Roop is the Lithuanian band that won Pabandom iš naujo! selection shows of 2020 and 2021 and hearts of Eurovision fans as well. Recently they added some mystery with their new single creating the rumours the band might go for Eurovision again.

It all started when fans noticed the words “Eurovision 2022” in the title of The Roop’s new song “Ohmygodable”. Morevover, the song duration fits the Eurovision standards of 3 minutes and same members took part in the music video as in previous Eurovision entries.

Also some other shows and interviews featuring The Roop didn’t make it clear if the artists are planning to come back or not.

However, LRT.lt now claims that the band members deny any plans and attempts to compete again in 2022.

Even since the Eurovision final in Rotterdam took place in May, we have been receiving requests to return to the selection and participate again. We are not saying ‘no’ and we are not burning bridges or closing the door on this idea. However, this may not happen this year.
