Russia’s national final took place in Moscow tonight, and Mikhail Smirnov was crowned the winner, and will be Russia’s 11th Junior Eurovision participant.

The votes from the professional jury – including among others Philipp Kirkorov, Julia Savicheva and last year’s representative Alisa Kozhikina – combined with the ongoing internet voting left Mikhail three points ahead of his nearest rival Maria Mirova.

His song, ‘Mechta’ (‘Dream’) will represent Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and you can listen below. What do you think? Will Russia be adding to their phenomenal run of results at the Junior contest?
