It’s Iveta Mukuchyan for Armenia!

In the last few minutes, Armenia has announced the name of the artist that will be representing the country in Eurovision 2016 – it’s Iveta Mukuchyan.
A popular rumour, Iveta was listed among our potential names last month, and today it has been confirmed. Iveta was born in Armenia and raised in Germany, where she reached the finals of The Voice of Germany in 2012. She is a popular artist at home and has dabbled in a diverse range of musical styles.
Iveta had this to say about her participation:

I’m very happy, thankful and honoured to be chosen by the Public TV Company of Armenia to represent Armenia. I love Eurovision and it’s amazing to get a chance to represent my country on the big stage. Your support is very important to me, so I hope you will be next to me on this responsible and important journey.

Now, AMPTV has opened up the submission process, and songwriters from all over the world can submit songs to be considered by Iveta, until Friday 13 November. Details can be found on the official Armenian Eurovision website.
