Eurodrama seems to  be a key word this year. In Switzerland, one of the RTS candidates will be replaced. Stéphanie Palazzo has been disqualified from the national final. She will be replaced by Kaceo.

Palazzo’s song, Perché Mi Guardi Cosi?, had originally been released in French, two years ago. That is, as is common knowledge, against the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest. That is why SRF has decided to disqualify her. Next in line to take the RTS spot was Kaceo, a band from Genf.

The song Kaceo will perform is called Disque D’Or. The band originally finished third in the RTS part of the Expertencheck, a little less than a week ago.

That brings the final Swiss line-up to:

  • Bella C – Another World
  • Vincent Gross – Half A Smile
  • Stanley Miller – Feel The Love
  • Rykka – The Last Of Our Kind
  • Kaceo – Disque D’Or
  • Theo – Because Of You

Die Große Entscheidungsshow will take place on 13th February 2016 in the Bodensee Arena in Kreuzlingen. Switzerland will be hoping to improve on last year’s result, when Melanie René finished in last in her semifinal.

Media Liaison: One of the founding members at escXtra. I'm the Dutchman who loves every little idiotic Eurovision fact there is. I usually listen to a lot of Eurovision music, but when I'm not, I listen to country music, schlager and pop, but mostly artists like Tina Turner, Emma, Ilse DeLange and Helene Fischer. On escXtra, you can find me doing pretty much anything that needs doing: Interviews, liveblogs or just your daily portion of news!
