Elina Nechayeva who represented Estonia at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest has joined previous contestants in promoting the new Netflix movie The Story of Fire Saga with her own take on the title song, Volcano Man.
Her familiar soprano turns the otherwise Eurovision-style random lyrics and lovingly cheesy performance of the original into a soulful performance.
Enjoy the probably once-in-a-lifetime chance to hear a talented soprano sing ‘Volcanic protector man’ in high notes here:
Artists cover ‘Volcano Man’
Elina Nechayeva is not the only Eurovision artist to cover the song.
Earlier this week, Anna Odobescu covered ‘Volcano Man’ from the comfort of her own home. She paired the original instrumental with her own strong vocals for an exciting cover.
Iceland representative Daði Freyr also offered his own rendition of the song, imbued with his signature dreamy pop tunes.
Before that, winners Alexander Rybak and Jamala showed off their own takes of the song.
