Eurovision winning composer Lise Cabble releases first solo single

Eurovision winning composer Lise Cabble releases first solo single

Danish songwriter Lise Cabble has made her debut as solo artist at the age of 61. The “Only Teardrops” composer does so with a song in her native tongue: “Tjekker Ind Og Ud”. More than a composer The single is a chance for Lise Cabble to show the world she’s more than just the fantastic composer we’ve got to know over the past years. Her career as a singer started back in 1986, when she became the lead singer of Miss B Haven, a Danish band. Between 1986 and 2000, the band released nine albums. The last album was a ‘Best of’, as the girls split up in 1997 already. Ever since, Cabble has dedicated her time to songwriting for other artists. No less than four Danish Eurovision entries have come out of her pen. The first three all made the top five, with Aud Wilken’s “Fra Mols Til Skagen” and “New Tomorrow” by A Friend in London both coming fifth. Her peak came in 2013, when Emmelie de Forest won the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with “Only Teardrops”. Leonora represented Denmark at the contest this year with “Love Is Forever”, also written by Lise Cabble. Collaborating with Emil …

The Eurodance formation, based in Germany, is now back with a new single. “Like The Way I Do” may remind you of the Melissa Etheridge hit, but when you listen to it, the two are nothing alike. Eye Cue release new single ‘Too Late’

Eye Cue release new single ‘Too Late’

Never ‘Too Late’ for us on New Music Friday! North Macedonia’s fan favourites from Lisbon 2018 Eye Cue, are back with a brand new single. Not ‘Too Late’ for new Eye Cue music Last month our favourite North Macedonian duo treated us to the melancholic electro banger ‘Love Me Hate Me‘. Now they follow it up with another stirring anthem. The light-hearted whimsy of ‘Lost and Found’ has progressed over the trilogy of singles released since. As we come to ‘Too Late’ the mood has evolved and Marija offers a fierce narrative of a woman in control of her destiny, that knows what she wants. It relates to anyone stuck in a bad relationship and feeling the release of having moved on. “I only want to be with me and if the phone ring ding ding, I’m not answering.” Recorded in London, following the duos extended stint in the UK in their busy 2019 schedule, ‘Too Late’ still has the familiar guitar riffs we know from Eye Cue. However there’s now an added grit to the punchy beats we’re familiar with. The influences of the British indie-electro scene are also notable in the melody. Marija’s smooth vibrato glides across the …

Sergey Lazarev releases music video for “Lovi”

Sergey Lazarev releases music video for “Lovi”

Following his Eurovision success with “Scream”, Sergey released his brand new single “Lovi” (eng.: Catch) some weeks ago. We already featured the song in our weekly New Music Friday. Sergey now released the music video for his latest song. The video already reached almost half a million views in just two days and is on the way to become a hit! Catchy follow-up single with an 80’s vibe! On the Eurovision stage he performed his serious power ballad “Scream” with the perfect vocals he always nails. His new single “Lovi” is completely different from that. The video sees Sergey mostly alone in Miami. Even though there are many people, he’s alone. To the video he wrote: The story of a man who found and lost his love in the city of neon lights … Each time he returns there, he does not lose hope of seeing her again … It turned out an incredibly atmospheric and lively video! Out of trend for trash and humor! I decided to show Miami not cheerful and carefree, but a little sad and lonely. Nothing pleases – if there is no love. Protect love and never let go if you love What do you …
