🇮🇪 Ryan O’Shaughnessy releases his new single ‘Lucky One’

Ireland’s Eurovision 2018 representative Ryan O’Shaugnessy returns with a brand new single ‘Lucky One’. Ryan wrote and recorded the track in Los Angeles and collaborated with ‘The Hustle Standard‘ who co-wrote and produced the track. With the release of his new song, he has also released a music video, in which we saw footage of his travel through South America in June to December last year, which you are able to watch below. With a little help from a bench and some amazingly synchronized dancers, he was hoping to spread the message of love and equality with his entry “Together”.  The bookies weren’t too impressed, but he proved them all wrong by qualifying to the final, creating a chain of lights (Anita and Michele should be proud) and giving Ireland their best result in the contest since 2011. A song with multiple messages The track carries a strong message, especially in these times of a global pandemic and Kate reminds us that whatever is happening now is not going to last forever. Austria’s Eurovision 2021 representative Vincent Bueno has released a video for his new song ‘Family Fight’ which will be part of his upcoming album. In the beginning of the video, Vincent explains the emotional depth of the song and why the song means a lot to him; which you are able to watch below. ‘This song was actually not just meant to build her up, but it was actually therapy for me and for all my cousins’ The song is dedicated to Vincent’s cousin ‘Rachelle’; who unfortunately was diagnosed with brain cancer. The song sees Vincent along with all of his family participate in the music video; as well as the song, to show their dedication, solidarity and unity towards Rachelle. In 2008, Vânia Fernandes earned what would be Portugal’s best-ever result in a Eurovision semi-final up until the nation’s victory with Salvador Sobral in 2017. “Senhora do mar (Negras águas)” is amongst the most beloved Portuguese Eurovision entries and Vânia recently teamed up with composer Andrej Babić for a quarantine re-recording of the track! From Croatia to Madeira Through the wonders of technology, Andrej plays the piano from his home in Croatia whilst Vânia delivers her vocals from the Portuguese island of Madeira. 🇱🇻 Latvia’s Samanta Tīna releases new single “I Got The Power”

During the day of Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light, LTV confirmed that Samanta Tīna would return as Latvia’s Eurovision representative in 2021. Now, the fan favourite has released a brand new single “I Got The Power”! Reuniting with Aminata Samanta has once again teamed up with Eurovision 2015 star Aminata for the “I Got The Power” lyrics. In addition, the “Still Breathing” singer has self-produced her track alongside Niklāvs with mastering by Arnis Račinskis. Samanta in the director’s chair Furthermore, Samanta is multi-talented, directing the video for “I Got The Power” herself! Also involved in the making of the tennis-themed video that focuses on female empowerment are Ritvars Bluka, Nikita Karpovs, Alise Līce and Jana Kozlova. 🇸🇪 Lisa Ajax releases “Jag måste”, first single in Swedish

Swedish Idol winner and three-time Melodifestivalen finalist Lisa Ajax has released new music. The song “Jag måste” is her first single in Swedish. Listen to “Jag måste” Lisa Ajax won the Swedish Idol in 2014 when she was only 16 years old. She first took part in Melodifestivalen in 2016 and qualified directly to the final with her song “My Heart Wants Me Dead”. In 2017 and 2019 she qualified to the final through andra chansen. The song “Jag måste” is written by Anton Engdahl, Marcus Holmberg and Lisa herself. Lisa is not only changing the language, but also has now a new management and a new label. Previously Lisa has released a song in Swedish as part of the album “We Love Disney”. On the album she covered the Swedish version of Lion King’s “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”. UK’s James Newman has released the follow up to his Eurovision entry ‘My Last Breath’ titled ‘Enough’. In the song, we hear James singing that no matter how difficult it gets, and are close to giving up that there’s ‘Enough’ love. Which is something we can currently relate to given the current circumstances, where we aren’t able to see loved ones. James has filmed a music video for his latest single, which you are able to watch below. During its release, James revealed that he enjoyed his experience filming for the video, whilst respecting guidelines. UK’s Eurovision 2018 representative SuRie has released her new EP ‘Rye’. The new EP is released a year later after the release of her album ‘Dozen’. SuRie’s new EP includes her favourite Eurovision song ‘Silent Storm’, which was sung by Carl Espen during the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. The final touches for ‘Rye’ was undertaken at a time when the United Kingdom started to go on lockdown, and how she has used this time to focus and escape.
