🇬🇷 Anna Vissi lights things up with “Flegomenos Trohos”

🇬🇷 Anna Vissi lights things up with “Flegomenos Trohos”

Not many singers can say they’re still active, popular and booming when they’re over 60. But just a couple of days after her 62nd birthday, Anna Vissi has managed to light things up once again. Her new single “Flegomenos Trohos” now also has an official video to go with it! Anna Vissi’s burning wheel The title of “Flegomenos Trohos” translates as “Burning Wheel” in English. In the lyrics, we hear Anna Vissi speaking of how it seems her lover never left her. It’s a fiery effort from the 62-year old diva, with a video and hair style to match the fire of the lyrics. Musically, the song is an interesting composition. The pop/rock sound Anna Vissi is known for is back yet again. The slower pace of “Flegomenos Trohos” is reminiscent of Vissi’s previous singles, such as her 2013 song “I Kathimerinotita Mas“. Her mature voice shines through, like it also did in her last Eurovision attempt back in 2006. Three trips to Eurovision Anna Vissi is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest. She has participated no less than three times: twice for Greece and once for Cyprus. It all started in 1980, when Greece chose the then 22-year …

🇳🇱 Glennis Grace calls for “Empathy” in new single

Glennis Grace has just dropped her latest single. “Empathy” is a call for… empathy, understanding and listening to each other. It’s a return to the English language for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest entrant, who’s been focusing on Dutch music recently. Glennis Grace: “Fierce discussions” When releasing the single, Grace posted a statement on Facebook. She said she wrote the song a few weeks ago in light of some “fierce discussions” in the Netherlands. By that, she means the omnipresent debate surrounding Black Pete. The debate has been going on for many years now, with both sides of the argument losing the patience to listen to one another. It has led to protests, with both physical and verbal violence. In light of these discussions and debates, Glennis Grace said: People seem to have lost the ability or willingness to understand or being sensitive to the feelings of another. To understand each other might be a big step, but with this song I call everyone to at least listen to each other and to try and walk in each other’s shoes for one day. Glennis Grace on Facebook Grace took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with “My Impossible Dream”. …

🇪🇸 Miki Núñez released the music video for “Coral Del Arrecife” feat. Sofía Ellar

This week Spains 2019 representative, Miki, released the music video for his new single off his debut album “Amuza” called “Coral Del Arrecife” (eng.: Coral Reef). The song is featuring Sofía Ellar, a famous 26-year-old Spanish singer/songwriter born in London but living in Madrid! The video is about his experience in OT 2018! The subject was written based on the experience that happened in the Academy (Operation Triumph). In general, it deals with the duality between two situations or two differentiated worlds. The exterior, which pursues us with different input (whether positive or negative) and that mark the future of life and the next steps. On the other hand, there is the inner world, that in which we analyze what happens to us on a daily basis and allows us to ‘disconnect’ from reality. The music begins and we move to a totally different place in the center of Madrid. It is a country house, with mountain views. At that moment he shows us a Miki on his back, thoughtful, nostalgic looking out the window. A clear nod to what happened in Operation Triunfo, when they were living in a closed space away from reality and the outside world. ‘Coral …
