Eurovision’s biggest global export is back! Switzerland’s 1988 winner, Celine Dion has confirmed she will return to live performing later this year with a 10-date Paris residency at the Paris La Défense Arena.
Celine Dion to perform 10-date Paris residency
On her 58th birthday, Celine Dion celebrated what she described as, “the best gift of my life.” The long-awaited announcement that she will return to the concert stage for the first time since her 2022 diagnosis of Stiff-person syndrome (SPS). A condition that forced Celine to cancel her Courage World Tour. The last full concert Celine performed in full was in Newark, New Jersey on March 8 2020.
In the announcement video on social media, Celine acknowledged the support of her fans and gave a positive health update that has given her the confidence to resume live performing.
“I’m doing great, managing my health, feeling good. I’m singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing. I love it so much.
But I have to tell you something very important. Over these last few years, every day that’s gone by, I felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love; even in my most difficult times, you were there for me.
You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly so fortunate to have your support. I’ve missed you so much. And that brings me back to my birthday, actually. So this year, I’m getting the best gift of my life.
I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September this year. I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously, [and] of course, a little nervous. But most of all I am grateful to all of you. I can’t wait to see you again.”
It’s all coming back to the Paris La Défense Arena
In September, the French-Canadian singer will perform a 10-date residency at the 40,000 capacity Paris La Défense Arena. The shows will begin on September 12 and conclude on October 14. This time frame is expected to allow plenty of rest and recovery to support Celine in managing her health throughout the residency. Eager fans can pre-register for the April 7 ticket sale as of now. Those unsuccessful in the pre-sale have another chance when the general sale commences on April 10.

Recently, teasers of the news were displayed across Paris. Including promotional posters and a light-show projection on the Eiffel Tower itself. The screen reading, “Paris I’m ready! Celine Dion.”
Of course many will remember Celine’s emotional comeback at the tower during the Paris Olympic Games in the Summer of 2024.
