Swedish superstar Lena Philipsson has released new music for fans to indulge in, just in time for summer! Her latest album Maria Magdalena is the first one she has released since 2015.
About the album
In an interview with Swedish newspaper Expressen, Lena talks about the album and the creative process. Ahead of the album release, the record label gave her free rein of the music videos and general imagery for the project. Lena admits that she likes being in control, which will come as no surprise to her fans – it’s a known fact that she used to sew her own stage outfits back in the day.
Furthermore, Lena talks about the inspiration behind the songs on Maria Magdalena, including the lead single of the same name.
Life is an ongoing process and I see that I’m constantly evolving and am affected by what’s happening. The inspiration is the happiness in life – love, friends, family, laughter, and kinship.
Back in April, Lena released the music video for the latest single off the album, “En stilla depression”.
