🇸🇪 The Mamas and Dotter to return for Melodifestivalen 2021 according to reports

The winner and the runner-up are returning to the competition!

The Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet revealed that both, The Mamas and Dotter, are confirmed to return to the Swedish national selection in 2021. Therefore, the Top two of this year’s competition are back. Aftonbladet is usually very good in revealing the competings acts for Melodifestivalen before the actual press conference! Will The Mamas win the competiton one more time and make it io Eurovision?

Two big names confirmed for Melodifestivalen 2021?!

This year both acts only were seperated by ONE point in the final of Melodifestivalen. After the jury votes, The Mamas and Dotter were on exactly the same points and after the viewers’ votes were presented, The Mama’s “Move” was the winner with 137 points ahead of Dotter and “Bulletproof” on 136 points. Sadly The Mamas could not go to Eurovision after winning the Swedish selection due to the cancellation. According to Aftonbladet they will return in 2021 together with the big fan favorite Dotter!

After several different song proposals have been written during the summer, according to several well-informed sources, The Mamas has now decided to compete at Melodifestivalen and for the victory.

And Dotter also aims to repeat, and preferably surpass this year’s result!
– She has a song that will definitely be in competition for the high rankings, says a source.

According to Aftonbladet, these are the confirmed names for Melodifestivalen 2021 so far:

1. Tusse Chiza
2. Sannex
3. Sami Rekik (from Medina) och Wahl (from SödraSidan)
4. Julia Alfrida (”P4 nästa”)
5. The Mamas
6. Dotter

This year The Mamas won Melodifestivalen with their song “Move”. They not just opened the competiton in the first semi-final, the were also the last to perform on stage in the grand final after the results. Will they be able to do it again in 2021?
