Tonight seven contestants took the stage in Tampere for the UMK21 final. After the votes of seven international juries and the Finnish public, Blind Channel was chosen as the winner and will represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “Dark Side”!

Next to the seven competing acts, we saw performances by the host Antti Tuisku, last year’s runner-up Erika Vikman and Finnish band Haloo Helsinki!, who performed their new single “Piilotan mun kyyneleet”.
The seven countries represented in the international jury were United Kingdom, Switzerland, United States, Poland, Iceland, Spain and The Netherlands. Their favourite was Blind Channel, followed by Oskr.
The Finnish public had more to say in the results than last year. The Finnish televoters gave most points to Blind Channel.
Blind Channel will represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. Finland will compete in the second semifinal of the contest and is set to perform on the second half of the show.
