Iceland has chosen! Not two, but THREE artists proceed to the Söngvakeppnin final, which takes place next week on 2 March.
Semi- final 2
Eurovision alumni Hera Björk was the first artist to be announced as a qualifier, and Bashar Murad followed swiftly. Then, something exciting happened. The Icelandic broadcaster decided to hand out the wildcard for the finale to Sigga Ózk!
Running order | Artist & song |
1 | Sigga Ózk – “Um allan alheiminn” |
2 | |
3 | Bashar Murad – “Vestrið villt” |
4 | |
5 | Hera Björk – “Við förum hærra” |
Just like last week, tonight’s qualifiers are a 100% based on televote. Out of the five songs performing, two advanced to the final next week, where the vote will be split between public voting (50%) and an international jury (50%), who will select two songs to progress to the superfinal. Here, public voting combined with the votes from the first round will determine the winner of Söngvakeppnin 2024!
