Klemen wins EMA 2025

Slovenia has chosen its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 following an exciting EMA 2025 final, held on February 1 at RTVSLO Studio 1 in Ljubljana. After an intense competition, Klemen emerged victorious with the song “How Much Time Do We Have Left,” securing the ticket to represent the country in Basel, Switzerland this May.

Klemen will represent Slovenia in Eurovision 2025

The EMA 2025 final featured 12 contestants. Hosted by Gregor Štrasbergar and Raiven, the show was broadcast live on TV SLO 1, Radio Val 202, and Radio Maribor, as well as online via RTV 4D. The competition followed a two-round voting process. In the first round, a jury panel—comprised of music industry professionals, songwriters, producers, and Eurovision experts—awarded points to select the top two entries for the superfinal. In the superfinal, public televoting exclusively determined the winner.

The two entries advancing to the superfinal were Klemen with “How Much Time Do We Have Left” and July Jones with “New Religion.” After the public vote, Klemen triumphed, earning the right to perform on the Eurovision stage in Basel.

Slovenia has participated in Eurovision since 1993, with its best results being seventh place in 1995 and 2001. The country last qualified for the final in 2024, when Raiven performed “Veronika” and finished 23rd in the Grand Final. With Klemen and “How Much Time Do We Have Left,” Slovenia will aim to improve its standing and will perform in Semi-Final One at Eurovision 2025 in Basel on 13 May 2025.
