After two heats hosted by RTL earlier this week, where twenty-four artists competed with covers or their own, previously-published songs, seven qualified in each heat for the semi-final.
14 songs in the semi-final
Here are the 14 entries that qualified to the semi-final, along with their qualification heat:
- Abor & Tynna (Heat 1)
- Benjamin Braatz (Heat 1)
- Cage (Heat 1)
- Cloudy June (Heat 2)
- Cosby (Heat 1)
- Feuerschwanz (Heat 1)
- From Fall To Spring (Heat 2)
- Jaln (Heat 2)
- Jonathan Henrich (Heat 1)
- Julika (Heat 1)
- Leonora (Heat 2)
- Lyza (Heat 2)
- Moss Kena (Heat 2)
- The Great Leslie (Heat 2)
The next step for them is the semi-final, on February 22nd, where they will, this time, perform their Eurovision entry. Nine acts will qualify from that show to the final.
The semi-final will also be hosted by private broadcaster RTL, after which the selection show will be handed over to the public broadcaster ARD for the final show, in a new collaboration meant to bring Germany a new victory at Eurovision.
