Eurovision is here! Delegations have been arriving in Basel in the last few days and rehearsals started on May 3. After closing the first rehearsals to the press in 2022, the EBU has now done away with TikTok videoclips. They will instead release sets of three photographs a day after each rehearsal, as well as description of the proceedings on their official channels. As such, today, we cover yesterday’s rehearsals, from the second half of the second semi-finalists, and continue with Czechia, the fourth rehearsal of the day, with “Kiss Kiss Goodbye”.

What happened on stage?
This description is sourced from indications given by the official Eurovision Reddit account and the production notes from the Czech delegation.
- Adonxs is wearing a white top with sleeves (not covering his entire arms) and white gloves, and silver trousers, and has a lot of close-up camera shots on his face. At some points, he also wears a white jacket with a black top part.
- Four dancers join him in the second verse, wearing a similar white outfit
- The atmosphere is very white, with black shapes shaking and strobing on the LED wall, and a white floor
- The light bars are lowered for the dance break and cover the stage in strobing red lights, contrasting with the blind whiteness of the rest of the performance
- In the final section of the song, Sissal descends from her plinths and joins the frame stage, as the dancers anchor their feet on the ground and lean back and forth (and presumably on the side), wrapped in blue fabric
The creative team behind the performance is made of Matyáš Vorda (Head Creative Director, LED Content Creator & Lighting Designer), Vít Bělohradský (Director) and František Čech (choreographer and dancer).
