We will be providing a live stream throughout each and every day of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 as well as reports from every rehearsal that takes place over the two weeks. ESCXTRA are live from Lisbon for day 1 of rehearsals ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018! The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Azerbaijan, Iceland, Albania, Belgium, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Israel, Belarus, Estonia and Bulgaria. We’re streaming live from the press centre Furthermore, read our handy guide for a more detailed look at this contest’s rehearsal schedule. The latest artist to rehearse is Ari Ólafsson from Iceland. We have just watched their first run through of Our Choice live on screen and here is our initial reaction. Staging Ari starts by facing the back of the stage and the camera – very much with the illusion of being alone. The backing singers join him by the time the first chorus begins and then… nothing else happens. The blue lighting changes to red and yellow in the final chorus. Vocals His vocals were half decent, he missed one of the big notes in the first run through but this is perfectly normal for the very first rehearsal. Day 1: There’s augmented reality for Aisel and Azerbaijan – REVIEW

The latest artist to rehearse is Aisel from Azerbaijan. We have just watched their first run through of X My Heart live on screen and here is our initial reaction. Staging Aisel begins the performance solo, moving around a series of triangular slabs which light up with with LEDs. Four dancers join her for the second half of the performance, in which there is a clever use of augmented reality with a dazzling glittery effect. There is substantial, yet simple choreography in which Aisel performs in perfect sync with her dancers. Vocals Although the sound wasn’t available for the first minute in our press centre feed, Aisel’s vocals were perfectly competent and harmonised well with her backing vocalists. The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is just around the corner! Today, the official rehearsal schedule for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest has been revealed in a document distributed to all delegation members. It’s time to find out when your favourite countries will be rehearsing… Rehearsals begin on April 29th! We have taken all the information and made it available to read on a single image! Hopefully, this will make the schedule easier for both us and you to digest and refer back to as rehearsals get underway. In our image below, we’ve also included the expected start times of our daily live stream from the press centre where our ESCXTRA team members on the ground in Lisbon will give you the best rehearsals coverage possible. This includes live audio from rehearsals on select days, live interactive interviews with artists and much more fun and games!
