🇮🇸 Daði Freyr records acoustic video for ‘Think About Things’

Think About Success

Eurovision 2020 might have gotten cancelled, but Daði Freyr, who was set to represent Iceland, has been successful regardless. His song ‘Think About Things’ was high in the betting odds, went viral on TikTok, and found its way into the UK Top 40. Now, the Icelandic singer has another treat for his growing fanbase: an acoustic version of his hit song!

Acoustic video

Daði has uploaded the video on YouTube. His vocals are accompanied by a guitar, which he plays himself, and two violins, a cello, and a viola. Rather than the upbeat stage version that we have grown to love, the song is now much calmer. This allows the listener to really take in the lyrics of the song and the meaning behind them: a father singing about his daughter. We are sure that both fans and skeptics of ‘Think About Things’ will enjoy this stripped down version!

You can also check out the tune without watching the video! You are able to also listen to the acoustic version on the following streaming platforms:

Daði og Gagnamagnið at the Eurovision Song Contest

Daði and his band Gagnamagnið won the Icelandic national final with the song ‘Think About Things’ and were set to represent their country in Rotterdam 2020. They were in good fortune, quickly becoming one of the favorites to win and stealing the hearts of many fans. Unfortunately, they were unable to represent Iceland in Rotterdam this year, but perhaps 2021 will create new opportunities for them. There is much speculation on whether Daði og Gagnamagnið will be internally selected, especially since Iceland’s Head of Delegation revealed that they have not ruled out the possibility.
