Moldova’s Natalia Gordienko has today revealed that she will be singing “Sugar” at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

Joined by the “dream team”

Natalia Gordienko will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “Sugar”. The team behind her song are the international team, often known as “the dream team”. They include Russian singer Philipp Kirkorov, Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos, creative director Ilias Kokotos and choreographer Fokas Evangelinos as well as lyricist Sharon Vaughn. Previously the team worked with Sergey Lazarev on his two Eurovision attempts and Moldova’s DoReDos, Ukraine’s Ani Lorak and plenty of others.

Natalia Gordienko won Moldova’s national selection in 2020 with “Prison” and was set to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam. However, as the contest was cancelled, it was up to the broadcaster to decide, if they want to send her in 2021, like many other countries.

Natalia Gordienko represented Moldova already in 2006 with the song “Loca” alongside Arsenium and Connect-R. They placed 20th in the final.
