🇬🇪 Georgia will participate in Junior Eurovision 2021

We are fully in the Eurovision Song Contest atmosphere, but in this article we will briefly talk about the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Georgia debuted in 2007 and since then they have become a real powerhouse in the competition. The Caucasus Country has confirmed a participation in 2021.

Five countries confirmed to participatie in JESC 2021

With Georgia confirming, we can add them to the list with 4 other coutnries so far: France (host), The Netherlands, Russia and Ireland.

The Georgian broadcaster didn’t say anything about how they would select their candidate for Junior Eurovision this year. Eversince their debut, Georgia has used both internal selections and national finals. Last year, they used a national selection called “Ranina”. Ten-year-old girl Sandra Gadelia won and got to represent her country in the 2020 contest. She sang the song “You Are Not Alone” with which she finished 6th.

As we mentioned earlier, Georgia made its debut to the contest back in 2007. They opened the show of that year with Mariam Romelashvili and “Odelia Ranuni”. The country has turned into a real powerhouse because they have already won three times: in 2008, 2011 and 2016. Tbilisi hosted the edition of 2017. Apart from their three wins, Georgia owns a lot of other good results. So far, they’ve only finished outside the top 10 two times.
