After a competitive Junior Eurovision Éire 2026 final, Caleb Kirwan & Naomi Gribben will represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 to be held in Malta on October with ‘Níos láidre’.
🇮🇪 Caleb Kirwan & Naomi Gribben selected for JESC 2026
During the national final, Junior Eurovision Éire 2026, three acts took part, all hoping to win the ticket to represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. However, it was Caleb Kirwan & Naomi Gribben from that became the overall winners. Each act performed a song they had performed previously and a cover of a Eurovision song. Following these performances, two acts advanced to the Super-Final. The jury were unable to reach a unanimous verdict and therefore decided in a shock twist, to send both Caleb and Naomi to JESC!
Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Back in 2015, the Emerald Isle made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Aimee Banks and her song, ‘Réalta na mara’ finishing in twelfth place. So far, the Irish nation have only made the top 10 on two occasions. In 2022 Ireland achieved their best result to date. Sophie Lennon and her Celtic anthem, ‘Solas’ earned fourth place with 150 points.
Last year, Ireland selected national final winner, Lottie O’Driscoll Murray to represent the country with ‘Rúin’. During the Tbilisi contest, Lottie placed 16th place with 44 points.
