After a competitive Junior Eurovision Éire 2025 final, Lottie O’Driscoll Murray will represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on December 16 with ‘Rúin’.
🇮🇪 Lottie O’Driscoll Murray selected for JESC 2025
During the national final, Junior Eurovision Éire 2025, hosted by Louise Cantillon, three artists took part, all hoping to win the ticket to represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025. However, it was 14-year-old Lottie O’Driscoll Murray from Cork that became the overall winner. Each artist performed a song they had performed previously and a cover of a Eurovision song. Following these performances, two artists advanced to the Super-Final. Once again the two remaining acts performed songs they had performed previously with Lottie emerging victorious.
As yet, the entry for JESC 2025 has not been revealed. However, we do know the song title is, ‘Rúin’. The song, which translates to ‘Secrets’ in English, is an Irish-language ballad.
Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Back in 2015, the Emerald Isle made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Aimee Banks and her song, ‘Réalta na mara’ finishing in twelfth place. So far, the Irish nation have only made the top 10 on two occasions. In 2022 Ireland achieved their best result to date. Sophie Lennon and her Celtic anthem, ‘Solas’ earned fourth place with 150 points.
Last year, Ireland selected national final winner, Enya Cox Dempsey to represent the country with ‘Le chéile’. During the Madrid contest, Enya achieved 15th place with 55 points.
