🇬🇧 Lucie Jones to star in a live show with Waitress co-star David Hunter

Performing together one more time

Since 2019, UK’s Eurovision 2017 representative Lucie Jones, held the title role ‘Jenna Hunterson’ in the West-End musical ‘Waitress’. In 2020,the musical was due to have it’s final curtain call at the Adelphi Theatre. Unfortunately due to the current circumstances, this was not able to proceed as planned.

However, fear not as Lucie, along with his ‘Waitress’ co-star ‘David Hunter’ will instead have a reunion gig on the 23rd August. Both Lucie and David confirmed the news via social media.

Waitress stars re-uniting

Lucie and David starred together in ‘Waitress’ portraying the roles ‘Jenna Hunterson’ and ‘Dr. Jim Pommatter’ respectively. Lucie’s stint in the musical see her receive positive reception in her role.

Lucie Jones at the Eurovision Song Contest

Lucie Jones represented the United Kingdom in Kyiv with the song ‘Never Give Up On You’. The song was co-written by none other than Emmelie de Forest – who won the contest for Denmark in 2013.

Lucie came 10th with the juries following a powerhouse vocal and a mesmerising reflective staging concept. This marked the best jury score for the UK this decade! Overall, she came 15th with 111 points, making it the UK’s forth best result this century!
