She may not participate in Melodifestivalen 2021, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy her music. Mariette has released a new song on Friday 15 January called “The One That Got Away”.

The people who follow Mariette on Instagram might have seen that she spends a lot of time with her family these days. However, last week she started teasing us with some small videos with which she made us look forward to her newest work. Friday 15 January was the day, then she released “The One That Got Away”.

In 2015, Mariette Hansson made her debut in the Swedish preselection for Eurovision. She conquered many hearts with “Don’t Stop Believing” and finished 3rd in the final. Two years later, she returned with “A Million Years” with which she finished 4th. In 2018, her entry “For You” finished 5th and last year we could see her making it to the final again with “Shout It Out”. She’s the first Melodifestivalen-participant to qualify “direkt til final” four times.
