Rehearsal review

Rehearsing right now inside the Rotterdam Ahoy is Eden Alene, performing “Set Me Free” for Israel. We will continue to update this article as each run through takes place, so make sure to keep refreshing for the most up-to-date review!

Eden begins her rehearsal surrounded by five backing dancers, the stage is lit in dark navy blue during the first ten seconds. The cameras spin around Eden before the stage lights transform to neon blue and pinks. She is wearing a short white dress with black patterned textures – her five male backing dancers are in a similar costume, though notably more casual in jeans and white trainers. As the song progresses they move from the B stage to the main stage. It looks like there are some minor camera hiccups that need to be rectified, as the feed cut away numerous times during the second verse. During the final bridge, the backing singers create a ring around Eden and remove her white jacket, unveiling a black see-through dress.

Vocally, Eden sounds confident and hits the whistle note effortlessly! It’s notably lacking in energy, however, so there’s definitely room for improvement for the second rehearsal.

Rehearsal video clip
