Robin Bengtsson – ‘Rollercoaster’
After all the rumours recently, it was finally confirmed this week that Robin Bengtsson is returning to Melodifestivalen for the fourth time. Over the past few weeks he has been building up to this announcement with new singles, ‘Brother, That’s All Right‘ and ‘If I Was You‘. Now the Swedish Eurovision 2017 representative is on a ‘Rollercoaster’, riding the metaphor of the ups and downs of life. Perhaps this more country-pop personal side of Robin is a hint to what we can expect next February?
Elettra Lamborghini – ‘A MEZZANOTTE (Christmas Song)’
Put down your panettone and feast on this Italian Christmas banger instead. Former Sanremo 2020 participant and heiress to the Lamborghini car empire, “Eleeeeettra, Elettra Lamborghini!” is back with new music. The ‘Musica (E Il Resto Scompare)’ singer has a gift for us in ‘A MEZZANOTTE (Christmas Song)’. As explosive as the all caps song title, ‘A Midnight’ is a cheeky song about the countdown to midnight and sharing a kiss on the dance floor with a loved one. Whilst mixing Latin beats with sleigh bells to keep us bopping beyond Christmas.
Clara Klingenström – ‘Se mig, bara se mig’
Earlier this year, Clara Klingenström made her Melodifestivalen debut. Going all the way to the final and finishing in fifth place with ‘Behöver inte dig idag’, already we know Clara is one for the future. Recently she released the very personal song ‘Liv‘ following the anniversary of her father’s passing. Although she ruled out returning so soon to Sweden’s famous selection show, that has not stopped her releasing new single ‘Se mig, bara se mig’. This atmospheric guitar anthem is Clara on top form, ahead of the release of her first album, Clara’s Dagbok out next week.
