Antique return with new song ”Ti Ti”

The Antique magic lives on

They are the Greek Swedish duo who took their respective countries by storm in the late 1990s into the early 2000s, now Antique are back with their new song ”Ti Ti” undoubtedly proving that the antique magic is still there.

Who are Antique?

Helena Paparizou and Nikos Panagiotidis, otherwise known as Antique formed in 1999. They released their debut song ”Opa Opa” getting to the top 10 in the Swedish, Romanian, Norwegian and Danish charts also charting at number 11 in Italy. Also it was nominated for Best Modern Dance Song at the 2000 Swedish ’Grammis’ awards. Their later singles “Dinata Dinata”, “Follow Me”, and “Moro Mou” also had good commercial success.

Together the duo represented Greece in 2001 with “Die For You”. Their 3rd place was at the time, Greece’s best result in the contest. The song also went to number one in Greece. Subsequently the song has become a fan favourite and has a common place in the annual ESC250 polls.

Solo success becoming a number one

Of course Helena, would later go on to take Greece’s first victory in 2005 with “My Number One”. Now they reunite after 19-years on 90s Greek classic, “Ti Ti” by Giorgos Alkaios. Giorgios of course represented Greece in 2010 with ”OPA” coming in eighth place. Here they have given the song fresh life, with a more modern production. Soon the pair will return to their native Swedish homeland for a Summer tour.
