Rehearsal review
Stage presentation
While some people may have expected a stage presentation akin to the official music video, this doesn’t quite reach that aesthetically. However, inspiration from that visual has clearly been drawn via the styling and choreography.
Jérémie is joined by four backing dancers, who join him from the second verse onwards. While there isn’t full choreography from Jérémie, he does interact with the dancers and put forward some purposeful movement in sync with them.
Costumes and styling
The styling is certainly a choice, but undoubtedly better than a black t-shirt and trousers. Jérémie is wearing a metallic jacket with JEANS, and some chunky Converse-like shoes.
Vocal quality
As expected, Jérémie was vocally on point, and his experience on The Voice Belgique is working in his favour.
Overall impression
At the time of writing, this is 7th favourite to qualify, and as of yet I’m not seeing where the votes will be coming from. I especially think this may struggle to hook televoters due to the lack of impact from both the chorus and the presentation, but I can see jurors appreciating that it’s the only R’n’B-lite song in the semi-final.
