Ten of the best new songs from Eurovision artists!

Murda & Hadise – ‘Imdat’

Doing their bit for global relations and Turkish diaspora, Turkish-Dutch rapper Murda and Belgian-Turkish Eurovision 2009 singer, Hadise team up this week. Together they release new single, ‘Imdat’ or ‘Help’. With a blend of rap and Latin beats they tell a modern story of forbidden Summer love. Below the video captures the imagination, filmed on location in Spain and The Netherlands, as Murda plays the hero, saving Hadise’ character from a police raid! Some might say their love is criminal…

Lena – ‘Looking For Love’

Always a favourite on New Music Friday, Germany’s Eurovision 2010 winner Lena Meyer-Landrut returns this week with her latest single, ‘Looking For Love’. Although happily married and with a newborn son, Lena is reflecting on all those doubts and insecurities we all have in life and love. Through this song Lena returns to her light-hearted pop roots as she speaks a truth of what everyone is looking for.

Basically, we’re all looking for the same things: for love, for something good, positive and beautiful. Each and every one of us wants to be happy and loved.

Ivi Adamou – ‘Dipla Sou’

Last but not least on New Music Friday is Cyprus’ 2012 representative, Ivi Adamou. Last month Ivi teased the release of ‘Dipla Sou’ or ‘Next To You’ in English, at the MAD VMAs in a duet with George Kakosaios. One for the Summer playlists, this new single evokes every Mediterranean flavour with the combination of a softer side to Ivi’s Greek vocals with a mezze platter of Latin castanets and flute notes.
