The Reviews

Supernova didn’t score much of a home run this year. Of the fourteen entries, Inspo, Katrine Miller and this were my clear favourites. And with two of them inexplicably being knocked out in the semifinal, this ended up as my default winner. It’s got a slick production, Raum has got a good amount of stage presence. All in all, I’m very much on board for this. I’d say this is Latvia’s best chance of getting out of that semi again. Finally. After all those years.

This would be a very refreshing turn from Latvia. After so many attempts best described as misguided, perhaps a simple strong song in popular territory is what a country needs. ‘Fake Love’ feels like a lot more of a big entry than those with a full band that looks great performing, a bit of an exciting pop-rock touch and some strong vocals. This could capture some of the attention needed, I’ll always support songs that bring this sort of energy to the stage.
